Police said three violent crimes in Palm Beach County all point back to Hugo Selva, 22.

Tuesday afternoon, West Palm Beach Police said Selva shot a man at the Dutchman Motor Lodge on South Dixie Highway.

Virgina Walker said her neighbor knocked on her door for help.

“He came to the window right there and he bams on the [bam, bam] he said, “I’ve been shot. Call 911,” said Walker.

12 hours later in Boynton Beach, police said Selva also shot 21-year-old Anthony Fonti at his home on Bentwater Circle.

Thankfully, police said both male victims of these crimes were rushed to area hospitals and are expected to be okay

However, Selva’s shooting spree did not end there.

Man pleads guilty but mentally ill to violent crime spree

KALAMAZOO, MI — A man accused of perpetuating a violent crime spree across Kalamazoo County has pleaded guilty but mentally ill.

Matthew Steppenwolf, 29, of Plainwell, pleaded guilty but mentally ill Thursday, Feb. 1 in Kalamazoo County Circuit Court to six felony charges: armed robbery, carjacking, second-degree arson, discharging a firearm at a building causing injury and two counts of felony firearm, according to court records.

In exchange for his plea, felony charges of ethnic intimidation, two counts of felony firearm and another count of second-degree arson were dismissed. 

In accordance with a plea agreement, Steppenwolf faces 17 to 32 years in prison when he is sentenced March 12, Kalamazoo County Chief Assistant Prosecutor Scott Brower said.

Man arrested in violent Palo Alto crime spree | KRON4.com

PALO ALTO (KRON) — Palo Alto police have arrested a man they say committed several violent crimes within just a few hours.

It started at around 7 p.m. at the Macy’s at Stanford Shopping Center.

Police say Javas Minor groped a female employee.

When the loss prevention officer told Minor to leave, he punched the employee in the jaw and took off.

Police say a short time later, officers received a call about a robbery at the PF Chang’s in the same shopping center.

Authorities say Minor went into the kitchen claiming to have a gun.

Chatsworth Man Arrested In Violent Crime Spree

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police arrested a Chatsworth man suspected in a violent crime spree terrorizing unsuspecting victims around the valley Wednesday.

Police arrested 25-year- old Chatsworth resident Gustavo Aranda in Sherman Oaks after bystanders tackled him at a salon on Burbank Boulevard. According to police, he attacked and carjacked a man in Van Nuys Wednesday morning before walking into the salon and violently attacking three women forced to fight for their lives. Police are seeking additional victims.

The spree began at at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday on the 14400 block of Gilmore Street, where the suspect approached a man from behind and shouted obscenities at the victim, police said.

12 arrested in violent San Jose crime spree | abc7news.com – KGO

San Jose police have arrested a dozen people — breaking up what investigators call a violent, criminal street gang.

Seven adults and five juveniles were arrested. The juveniles range in age from 15 to 17 years old.

Police say the group is responsible for at least 30 carjackings and robberies since the summer.

During a robbery at Flanigan Dr. and King Rd., the victim was hit in the head with a brick. He suffered a fractured skull.

During a carjacking at McKee and White Roads, the suspects had an AR-15 and fired it into the air.

Police served nine search and arrest warrants on January 10, and took the 12 suspects into custody.

Charges include robbery, carjacking, burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest, child endangerment, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property, possession of drugs, and gang enhancement.
