Thieves Go on Marathon Crime Spree in Westchester, Leave Trail of Cold Hot Dogs, Apple Cores and Half-Eaten Pie …

Police are searching for the burglar or burglars who targeted nearly a half-dozen businesses along the main drag of Hastings-on-Hudson in a late-night theft spree that led to the suspects eating fruit salad and uncooked English muffins at a local diner.

They took $1,000 in cash from the diner and stole a flat-screen TV — and the hot dogs — from a firehouse, but they also lifted olive oil, nibbled on apples and grabbed a lemon meringue pie that they ultimately left sitting on a trash can, according to business owners and police.

The bizarre case started Wednesday morning when the owner of the Hastings Center Restaurant called police to report that someone had broken in by shattering the window of a rear door. The register was smashed and the cash was missing, according to police.

“The place was in shambles,” waitress Tammy Cicalo said of the restaurant. “I

Thieves wash stolen car during Sussex crime spree

A pair of burglars who took a stolen Jaguar through a car wash during a crime spree in Sussex have been jailed.

Jodie Finn, 34, of Woodthorpe Road and Antek Pryce 40, of Eastchurch in Kent were sentenced in Guildford Crown Court on Monday, August 14 after admitting to burglary and car theft.

They admitted to breaking into a house in Oxted in Surrey in February last year. Police say they were in the house for less than two minutes before driving off in the owner’s Jaguar.

Police say they then used the stolen car to commit a number of crimes across Sussex, which included making off without payment for fuel and thefts.

DC Steven Cassidy, who investigated the pair, said “These two went on a crime spree across Sussex using the car they’d taken from Surrey. When we recovered the car we found a receipt identifying that they’d

– Across five cities, police say two thieves robbed multiple convenience stores of tons of cigarettes. But it’s not just what they were stealing – it’s what they’re wearing that caught police attention: a lot of very brightly colored Tigers gear

The two thieves were caught on camera at a convenience store in Woodhaven and it’s not the only place they hit in their desire to get a nicotine fix. They’re wanted in connection with robberies at gas stationes in St. Clair Shores, Taylor, Eastpoint, and Sterling Heights this summer.

Forget the cash. Police say they’re interested in one thing and one thing only: Newport cigarettes. As many as they can get their hands on.

“He removed two small garbage bags and took them right from

Police: Thieves stealing license plates in "bizarre" crime spree

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) Police warn of a bizarre crime spree targeting people all across Brown County, and they’re asking drivers to be on alert.

Since the beginning of the year, investigators in several communities, including Green Bay, Allouez, Howard and Bellevue, have received nearly three dozen reports of stolen license plates.

Police say they can be used to commit crimes and make victims look like suspects.

License plates are one of the little things most of us don’t think twice about until they’re gone.

“Normally it’s coin or a cell phone or stuff out of a car, but it’s a little bizarre to see plates taken off of a car,” says Green Bay Police Lt. Rick Belanger.

The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has received four reports of stolen license plates since March.

Green Bay Police say they’ve received 28 reports of stolen plates since January

Thieves ram police car head-on, ending 24-hour crime spree

Two alleged thieves have rammed a police vehicle head-on, ending a 24-hour crime spree in Queensland.

The two women were chased down by officers, after they allegedly drove into a police car during a chase in the eastern Ipswich suburb of Goodna.

Police were closing in on the stolen white Corolla when the driver did a U-turn and crossed onto the wrong side of the road.

Police attempted to reverse their vehicle but were hit head-on.

9NEWS understands the women allegedly broke into a home in the middle of the night, while a mother and her son were asleep inside.

They left through the front door, after allegedly stealing the keys and taking off with the family’s car.

The family had just moved into the area and told 9NEWS it didn’t feel “particularly secure”.

“[The thieves] obviously had to scale a few walls and skip across ledges to enter,” one family member said.
