Redding Police arrest man after suspected crime spree

Redding Police say a man has been arrested after an officer found him with a stolen vehicle, drug paraphernalia, and stolen property.

Police say it all started Friday night at around 9 p.m. when Redding Police Department responded to a call of a petty theft in the 1600 block of Hilltop Drive. Ismael Herrera, 52, of Corning CA, reported he had his wallet stolen from his vehicle.

Officers learned Herrera had left his vehicle unlocked and his wallet in the glove box while at work. His wallet contained his California driver license, cash, and two credit cards. Herrera believed the crime took place between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm. He also told officers his credit card had fraudulently been used several times that afternoon in the Mt. Shasta Mall. Escaped Wakulla County inmates suspected in multi-state crime spree

WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) – UPDATE 2:56 PM 11/22/2017 – The search continues for two escaped inmates from Wakulla County after one was arrested in North Carolina.

Authorities are still searching for Joel Teraill Cooper and Donald James Cotterman.

According to WBTV’s report, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office believes all three men may have been involved in the theft of a 2007 Pacifica recreational vehicle that was stolen from Rowan County. Deputies said the vehicle was taken out of state. 

The Sheriff’s Office says that there is evidence showing the three men may have been involved in several property crimes in Georgia, Virginia as well as Rowan County.

Man suspected in 3-county crime spree charged | News | WTVB

JACKSON (WKZO AM/FM) — The suspect in a series of five home invasions and two car thefts a week ago today in Kalamazoo County will first face charges in Jackson County.

Yesterday 36-year-old Tracy Ott was charged with invading a home in Jackson County, tying up an 84-year-old woman and stealing her car.  She was eventually able to free herself and contact authorities.

When he learned that the State Police Fugitive Team was on his trail for the Jackson County assault and burglary, investigators claim he began breaking into homes and taking cars in Kalamazoo County in rapid succession to facilitate his escape.

He got as far as Allegan County before he crashed during a high speed pursuit from police.

Ott, who has previously been convicted of 21 home invasions, is being held on half a million dollars bond in Jackson County for assault, unlawful imprisonment, carjacking first degree home invasion and two gun

Man suspected of crime spree across 22 counties arrested

BOURBON CO., Ky. (WKYT) – A man wanted in more than 20 counties for stealing thousands of dollars worth of property is now behind bars.

Police say Dario Mauriz-Cruz is responsible for crimes all the way from Boone County in northern Kentucky to Laurel County in southern Kentucky, and possibly even down into Tennessee.

Mauriz-Cruz was spotted in Lexington with a license plate that didn’t fit the car he was driving.

Police pursued him after he took off, but officers finally stopped him in Bourbon County.

There, police say he was charged with some vehicle offenses and fleeing and evading, but police say he is a suspect in nearly 20 car breaks in Mercer County alone and numerous related crimes all over Kentucky.

Suspected Peru bank robber arrested after 8-day crime spree

PERU – Peru police say the man they believe robbed Beacon Credit Union last month has been arrested in Michigan after an eight-day crime spree in which he robbed banks, convenience stores and a McDonald’s.

2 teens suspected in Colorado Springs crime spree arrested

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Two teenagers who were sought as part of a larger investigation into a crime spree involving robberies, stolen vehicles, burglaries and attempted murder, were arrested earlier this week in Colorado Springs.

One suspect was identified as Marcus Antwan Elliott, 18. The second suspect, who is 16, was not identified by police because he is a minor, according to our ABC-affiliate station in Colorado Springs, KRDO-TV.

The teens were arrested Monday afternoon thanks to the a team effort by patrol officers, detectives, tactical enforcement and metro vice narcotics units.

KRDO-TV reported the suspects typically used stolen vehicles to commit crimes in El Paso County, Monument and Denver, including an attempted murder from a road-rage case in Colorado Springs.

Police told the TV station the crime spree started after both escaped from custody, adding active arrest warrants to the list of their alleged crimes.

Juvenile girl suspected of crime spree in Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach arrested

PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. – A 17-year-old girl is facing charges in a shooting and robbery spree.

She stole a woman’s purse and cellphone on 34th Street in Riviera Beach and then stole a cellphone and shot a man who was mowing his yard in the 3300 block of Avenue ‘J’ Thursday, police said. The man was last listed in stable condition.

She’s also accused of stealing cellphones from 2 men near Broadway and 36th Street in West Palm Beach and a woman near the post office on Clematis Street, police said.

Riviera Beach police, West Palm Beach police, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office tracked the vehicle the juvenile was in and ended up detaining her, a 21-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy.

Police ended up arresting the 17-year-old girl and charged her with grand theft, attempted homicide and two counts of armed robbery.

The other two are still being investigated.

CAPTURED: Kitsap County sex offender suspected of recent, violent crime spree in Bremerton

CAPTURED — Bremerton Police say Ernie Sandoval was arrested this morning and booked into the Kitsap County jail. Officers found him cowering in a closet. Chief Steve Strachan says a tip from a Washington’s Most Wanted viewer helped lead to Sandoval’s arrest.  He is WMW Capture #869. Sandoval is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday morning.
