WILKES-BARRE — The case against a Hazle Township man who allegedly went on a “one-man crime spree” in November is moving to county court.

Raymond Bolling, 41, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Michael Dotzel on Wednesday, moving a charge of criminal attempt to commit robbery to county court.

This charge comes from one of the final legs of Bolling’s alleged robbery spree on Nov. 6, on which police say he robbed or attempted to rob numerous stores in between Hazleton and Plains Township.

Pennsylvania State Police charged Bolling with robbing Ollie’s Bargain Outlet at the Church Hill Mall near Hazleton at around 9 p.m. that night.

Police say Bolling entered the store and handed the clerk a note saying he had a gun and demanding money. He allegedly got away with $700 in cash.

Bolling had another preliminary hearing on Nov. 21, at which he also waived his

Police arrest suspect wanted in summer crime spree

A suspect wanted for arson, attempted murder and sexual assault since the summer has been arrested, police reported.

Police said patrol officers picked the man up without a struggle when a security guard at an apartment block on the 200 block of Dufferin Avenue reported a disturbance in the early morning hours Monday.

Officers who answered the call at 12:45 a.m. took the man into custody and realized he was wanted once his identity was confirmed.

After the summer attacks, there was no indication the man was active, Winnipeg Police Services spokesman Const. Jay Murray said.

“I don’t think we thought he was in town,” Murray said.

Both the attempted murder and arson were the result of a domestic dispute. On July 15, police first reported the suspect was wanted for a sexual assault.

Two weeks later, the same man was identified as a suspect in a serious arson at an apartment building in the 400
