UCSB Student Arrested Following Alleged Crime Spree

At approximately 12:40 a.m. this morning, November 2, 2017, Sheriff’s Deputies and UCSB Police Officers assigned to the Isla Vista Foot Patrol (IVFP) responded to an apartment in the 700 block of Camino Del Sur on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The victim was walking in the area of Camino Del Sur and Abrego Road when the suspect, described as a college-aged Asian male, walked up behind the victim, grabbed his arm and forcibly removed his cell phone from his hand. The suspect quickly ran northbound on Camino Del Sur with the victim’s phone. The victim walked back to his apartment nearby and called 9-1-1.

Criminals shoot up college student’s car during crime spree

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A college student came face to face with the men who shot at him and his car.

Around 1 a.m. Tuesday, Micheal Johnson was parked outside of his east side home. He was alone and sitting in the driver’s seat when he saw two men approach his car.

“They were kind of looking in the car. I didn’t think they saw me so I sat up and they were ‘like my bad, my bad,’” said Micheal Johnson, victim.

Johnson says not even 15 minutes later, the two men returned. This time the men had weapons and started shooting their guns. There’s a bullet hole through one of the car doors, a piece of plastic is covering the back window and glass pieces are all over the seats.
