Suspects sought for crime spree in Philadelphia, suburbs

Police are searching for two armed robbers who have struck businesses in Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs.

They’re wanted for at least five crimes in the city alone.

Surveillance video captures them armed with guns, in some cases wearing masks, terrorizing employees at area convenience stores.

“They are using a semi-automatic handgun that is similar in all the robberies, so that is another reason we know these are all connected,” said Lt. Dennis Rosenbaum of Northeast Detectives.

Detectives believe the robberies happened between September 24 and October 11. The criminals have targeted several convenience stores in Northeast Philadelphia and also several in Bucks and Delaware counties.

“Detectives, we communicate across the lines. You might have a road that divides us, but we all communicate. After looking at some of the video, we all reached out to each other and said ‘I think we have the same person, two persons doing these robberies,'” Rosenbaum

Temecula Crime Spree: 1 Thief Sought, 1 Caught, Police Say

TEMECULA, CA — While police arrested one suspected Temecula thief, another is still being sought, authorities said Tuesday. The duo are believed responsible for a recent crime spree across Southwest Riverside County, allegedly hitting up cellphone stores in Temecula, Murrieta and Perris throughout the month of August.

“One of these incidents occurred on Tuesday, August 29, when Temecula Police officers responded to a reported robbery at a wireless store on Temecula Parkway in the early afternoon,” according to sheriff’s Sgt. Steve Fredericks. “Two black male adults used force against a store employee while stealing several cellular phones from display cases within the store.”

It was after that incident that police say they ultimately identified two suspects in the case: 20 year-old Melvone Garrett of San Bernardino and 21 year-old Richie Combs of Rialto. Garrett is pictured above on the left, while Combs is pictures on the right.
