Crime spree: 15-year-old accused of robbing 10 Toronto banks in two months

TORONTO — A 15-year-old boy allegedly robbed 10 Toronto banks in less than two months, with a 30-year-old man accused of being his getaway driver, police said on Wednesday.

Toronto Police said the boy routinely wore a disguise — in at least one case it was a hoodie and sunglasses — and walked into banks in the city’s west end with a note to inform the teller that he had a gun and wanted money. Meantime, a 30-year-old man waited for the boy in a car outside, police said.

At 11:40 a.m. on Friday, the pair allegedly robbed a bank near St. Clair Avenue and Jane Street. An hour later, they hit a TD branch, seven kilometres away, at Lake Shore Boulevard and Mimico Avenue. The branch manager at the bank confirmed there was a robbery, but wouldn’t talk about the specifics.

Police arrived in the middle of the robbery and arrested the

Man Beating, Robbing Women for Cellphones in NYC Crime Spree: Police

Police say they have linked a man to at least five robberies against women in Brooklyn, some of which turned violent, according to the NYPD.

Officials say the string of robberies have been happening since July within a three-block radius in Sheepshead Bay and Gravesend.

The crime spree started at Parkway Court and Hubbard Street on July 11, with the most recent robbery reported July 22.

In two of the robberies, the man punched the women in the face several times, police said. In one incident, he tackled a victim to the ground to steal her bag and slapped her buttocks, officials said. In three of the five robberies, he pointed a gun at the victim.

In each robbery, the man steals cellphones from his victims who he sneaks up behind, police say. He has also gotten away with debit cards, headphones and

Teen girls wanted for robbing 2 cabbies, 2 tourists in eastern Pa. crime spree – Wilkes Barre Times

UPPER DARBY, Pa. (AP) — Two teenage girls are wanted for the armed robberies of two cabbies and two tourists in eastern Pennsylvania last week.

Upper Darby police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says the girls are “violent predators.”

They began by robbing two cabbies about two hours apart the night of June 19. The girls called for rides, then used a gun to steal $100 and $80 from the drivers.

On June 23, the same pair accosted two women visiting from Ecuador, stealing the women’s handbags which contained about $900. The victims were 86 and 52.

In each instance, the teens pointed the guns at the victims’ head or chest.

Police say both suspects are black and about 5-foot-9. One is heavy and wears a ponytail. The other is thin and wore a head scarf.

FBI Seeks COMIC CON BANDIT For Bank-Robbing Crime Spree

Credit: FBI

The FBI are seeking a criminal they have dubbed the “Comic-Con Bandit” in conjunction with a series of robberies in the Louisville and Littleton, Colorado areas. The Comic-Con Bandit is suspected of robbing two banks, one while dressed as Darth Vader, and the other while dressed as Black Panther.

Police believe the suspect to be a white male in his 20’s or early 30’s, standing between 5’10” and 6′ tall. The suspect fled the scene on foot, though he may be connected to a woman driving a late model Saturn Vue seen in the area.

It seems the only connection between the robber and any “comic-con” is his use of masks from comic books and pop culture while committing the robberies – a trope often seen in comic books and movies, such as the trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming, where the thief’s Black Panther
