Man charged in South Elgin T-Mobile robbery among 5 indicted in crime spree

A man who is suspected in the robbery of a South Elgin store was arrested this week and is among five Chicago residents indicted on federal robbery charges stemming from cell phone robberies in Cook and Kane counties in 2017, officials said.

All five are now in federal custody, according the FBI Chicago field office.

The suspects were indicted by a special grand jury in August, according to the FBI. They face a 13-count indictment by prosecutors.

Charged are Terrell Thomas, 28; Andrew McHaney, 26; James Bates, 57; Stephanie Edwards, 25; and Antonio Edwards, 24.

Man accused of armed robbery spree arrested after leading officers …

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A chase ended with one person in custody Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.

Julian Archuleta, 33, now faces a number of charges and is reportedly linked to a spree of armed robberies.

Colorado Springs police say around 7 p.m. Wednesday, Archuleta robbed a local business in the 3300 block of E. Fountain Blvd. A few hours later, officers spotted his truck driving around a strip mall near Hancock Expressway and Delta Drive.

That’s when officers started following Archuleta’s Dodge pickup truck but when they tried to stop him, he took off.

“We perused the vehicle, and we had to use intervention to make that vehicle stop,” Colorado Springs police sergeant Keith Wrede told 11 News.

Wednesday Crime Blotter: Another Bank Robbery, A Southern Brooklyn Crime Spree and More

PARK SLOPE – Police are looking for the suspect behind a brazen noontime robbery of a 5th Avenue bank that occurred yesterday in Park Slope.

Just before 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 16, a man walked into the Capital One Savings Bank at 516 5th Avenue and 13th Street, approached the bank teller, and passed a note demanding money, said police. The teller complied, handing over an undetermined amount of cash.

The robber fled on foot, heading north up 5th Street. Police described the suspect as a white man, 30-35 years old and 6’0″. He was last seen wearing a black hooded coat and black sunglasses. Surveillance video of the incident can be seen below:

Police in Susquehanna Township have arrested two men on robbery charges ending what they called a “crime spree” that extended from Harrisburg to Lancaster.

Police allege Gary Dorsey, 56, and Newlin Carr, 26, committed numerous robberies across the area using either a firearm or knives. The charges filed by Susquehanna Township Police stem from a December robbery at the Uni-Mart on Front Street in Harrisburg.

Bradenton teen charged with bank robbery was on unstable crime …

A teen suffering from mental illness is charged with strangling his sister and stealing a car at gunpoint, before ultimately robbing a bank in downtown Bradenton.

It was Julian Jimenez’s behavior after the robbery on Thursday that others found odd and led to his arrest less than an hour later.

A caller to 911 reported that a man was walking down the street and throwing money at people. When deputies responded, Jimenez matched the description of the suspected bank robber and he was detained.

Jimenez, 18, is charged with domestic battery by strangulation, armed carjacking, armed robbery, carrying a firearm without a license and giving false information to law enforcement. He is being held at the Manatee County jail on bonds totaling $1,052,000.
