El Paso County deputies arrest four juveniles in crime spree

Deputies have arrested four juveniles, two males and two females, in connection with a crime spree that included attempted murder, kidnapping, car thefts and burglaries.

The four, whose names weren’t released because of their ages, were arrested Wednesday, and a fifth juvenile is still being sought. El Paso County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Jacqueline Kirby said the male juvenile was last seen in Peyton and is armed and “very dangerous.”

One stolen vehicle, a burgundy Ford Explorer, was found with two of the suspects around 3 p.m. Another car, a white Mercedes, was found Tuesday afternoon.

If you listen to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office’s description of the day of Dec. 29, 2017, then you quickly realize they were more than prepared for a man they had been seeking on outstanding warrants to run from them.

According to the sheriff’s office, he did exactly just that and then some.

Cody Gene Jackson, 26, is charged with failure to stop for a blue light, habitual traffic offender, driving under suspension, and petit larceny. He was also charged on outstanding warrants for failure to stop for a blue light, driving under suspension, habitual traffic offender and grand larceny.

NC duo face 70+ charges after ‘crime spree’ over part of the state, deputies say

NEBO, N.C. (AP/WNCN) — Authorities say two people are jailed after a “crime spree” that ranged from Charlotte to McDowell County in western North Carolina.

The man and male teen stole thousands of dollars worth of loot, including cars and items from inside cars, officials said.

The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that 25-year-old Jordan Cornelius Carmichael and a 17-year-old male are charged with more than 70 counts on crimes ranging from breaking and entering a motor vehicle to larceny of a motor vehicle.

In addition, authorities say Carmichael is also charged with possession of a firearm by a felon.

On Nov. 9, deputies said the duo from Charlotte stole four vehicles and broke into at least 39 cars and one garage in the Nebo area.

McDowell County deputies said a Charlotte man and a 17-year-old from Charlotte face a long list of charges after “an organized crime spree” through multiple counties.

Deputies said 25-year-old Jordan Cornelius Carmichael and the teen, whose name was not released, face more than four dozen charges. The offenses include breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny, damage to property, larceny of a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm, and more.

Deputies said the duo was involved in a series of crimes between Charlotte and McDowell County.

Teens on ‘mini crime spree’ caught breaking in car, deputies say

McDOWELL Co., N.C. (WSPA) — Deputies say two teens went on a “mine crime spree” before their arrests in McDowell County.

A woman told deputies that she caught a woman breaking into her Chevrolet Camaro on Sunday morning. The suspect, later identified as 18-year-old Tayla Denae Martin of Nebo, was being followed by another teen in a white Chevrolet PT Cruiser, according to deputies.

The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office has charged Martin with larceny and two counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle. Deputies have also charged a 17-year-old boy with two counts of attempted breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and one count each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and larceny.

Deputies say the male suspect was tied to another attempted break-in. The victim in that case also reported seeing a white PT Cruiser at the scene.
