Women arrested in Castle Rock crime spree

Two women have been taken into custody for their alleged role in a Castle Rock crime spree that involved at least 10 car break-ins.

The chain of events that led up to the arrest of 20-year-old Crystal Moore and 26-year-old Victoria Ovando-Reyes – both of Aurora – began at around 8:46 a.m Thursday, when Castle Rock police say a witness spotted them trying to break into a car in the Crystal Valley subdivision.

Police say when they drove away, another witness followed them to the 1300 block of West Plum Creek Parkway. Moore, who was trying the car, lost control and crashed into a ditch, police say.

Officers later determined their vehicle was stolen and had stolen plates.

Both Moore and Ovando-Reyes took off running but were picked up by someone driving by. When a witness saw this happen, they called Castle Rock police, who alerted an officer in the

Man arrested in violent Palo Alto crime spree | KRON4.com

PALO ALTO (KRON) — Palo Alto police have arrested a man they say committed several violent crimes within just a few hours.

It started at around 7 p.m. at the Macy’s at Stanford Shopping Center.

Police say Javas Minor groped a female employee.

When the loss prevention officer told Minor to leave, he punched the employee in the jaw and took off.

Police say a short time later, officers received a call about a robbery at the PF Chang’s in the same shopping center.

Authorities say Minor went into the kitchen claiming to have a gun.

Chatsworth Man Arrested In Violent Crime Spree

LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police arrested a Chatsworth man suspected in a violent crime spree terrorizing unsuspecting victims around the valley Wednesday.

Police arrested 25-year- old Chatsworth resident Gustavo Aranda in Sherman Oaks after bystanders tackled him at a salon on Burbank Boulevard. According to police, he attacked and carjacked a man in Van Nuys Wednesday morning before walking into the salon and violently attacking three women forced to fight for their lives. Police are seeking additional victims.

The spree began at at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday on the 14400 block of Gilmore Street, where the suspect approached a man from behind and shouted obscenities at the victim, police said.

3 arrested in Germantown, Memphis crime spree


Memphis Police Department arrested three people after a crime spree across Germantown and Memphis on Monday.

The first incident happened around 1:30 p.m. on Cedar Lane in Germantown. A robber with a gun approached a 79-year-old man in his driveway. The robber demanded money from the victim. 

The victim said he slapped the rifle away twice. The suspects realized he didn’t have any money and took off.

The second incident happened as a 63-year-old woman was jogging near McVay and Riverdale roads.

The same robber asked to use the woman’s phone. She asked where they were going and the passenger pulled out a rifle, pointed it at her and said, “Give me your phone b****.” The woman complied and ran off.

Two arrested in north Woodstock crime spree

Woodstock police have charged two London-area men after one knocked on the door of a Woodstock home and the other was later found in the backseat of a parked car.

Police said that on January 24 around 3 a.m. a citizen called police to report two suspicious males looking through and trying to enter parked vehicles in the area of Wedgewood and Three Wood Drive.

The two males were seen leaving a Jeep Cherokee that was reported stolen from London. At one point one of the suspects knocked on the door of a residence and asked to use their phone. The homeowner called police.

A local taxi company also contacted police reporting that they were called to an address on Lakeview to pick up a male.

Police located the first male, a 38-year-old London man, in the Lakeview area. He was arrested and charged with theft under, fail to comply with probation and possession
