Teens on crime spree accused of killing pets, setting car on fire

Two teen girls face charges after a crime spree in North Carolina where they broke into a home, killed the pets inside and set a car ablaze, officials said.

Hallie Lauren Pate, 17, and Jordan Alexis Ruiz, 18, were arrested Thursday on a dozen charges including breaking and entering, larceny and cruelty to animals in connection to a Lenoir County burglary, according to authorities.

The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office said the teens allegedly broke into the home Feb. 4 and stole property. More items were taken from a car before they allegedly set the vehicle on fire.

Investigators were able to identify the suspects after they allegedly sold some of the stolen items.

Both teens were booked at Lenoir County Sheriff’s Detention Center, where they each are being held on a $50,000 bond.

They also face charges for breaking and entering a motor vehicle, burning personal property, obtaining property by false pretense and injury

UWS gym accused of hiding weeks-long crime spree from members

An Upper West Side Equinox gym hid a weeks-long crime spree from its customers — including the theft of a $25,000 Rolex, a new lawsuit says.

Attorney Giorgio Nicolò Vergani says in his Manhattan Supreme Court suit that his watch was filched from a locker at the Columbus Avenue and West 68th Street Equinox on June 16.

Vergani said cops later told him that “at least five other thefts” had been reported in the past two weeks.

“Equinox did not notify the members of the crime spree,” court papers state.

Reps for the gym did not return a message.
