A SERIAL offender who stole almost €10,000 worth of property during a seven-hour crime spree in a County Limerick village will be sentenced in the new year.

Robert O’Donoghue, aged 25, who has an address at St Jude’s, Garryowen has pleaded guilty to multiple charges relating to offences which occurred during the early hours of December 16, 2016 in Adare.

During a sentencing hearing before Christmas, Detective Garda Jerry O’Sullivan said several homes and businesses were broken into and that Mr O’Donoghue had also stolen kegs from outside two pubs.

Police: Man admits to killing woman in Austin crime spree – KCBD

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) – Police investigators in Austin say a 19-year-old man has confessed to the shooting death of a woman and injuring three others in a series of robbery attempts that began Christmas Day.

Police Lt. Jason Staniszewski said Friday that Xavier Lewis was wearing an ankle monitor due to a prior aggravated robbery charge and it implicated him in the latest crimes.

Lewis was arrested Thursday on charges that include capital murder.

Authorities say Lewis robbed four people on Christmas Day and shot two of them. They say he later took a woman’s car then struck a person with it, leaving that person in serious condition.

Staniszewski says 30-year-old Ebony Michelle Sheppard was shot Tuesday in an apparent robbery attempt. She later died at a hospital.

Online jail records don’t indicate an attorney for Lewis.

Bond lowered for suspect in January crime spree in Minot – KFYR

MINOT, N.D. – A judge has agreed to lower the bond for a suspect facing a series of charges in a January crime spree in Minot.

The judge has lowered the cash bond for 25-year-old Javontez Barnes from $1 million to $250,000.

Investigators say that in early January Barnes assaulted a woman, fired several shots at an apartment complex, failed in an attempt to rob Minot’s Cash Wise Foods grocery store at gunpoint, and later shot a man in the spine, paralyzing him.

Barnes faces eight felony counts in two separate case files, including attempted murder.

He remains in custody in Ward County pending his next court appearance.

A second suspect in the attempted robbery, 27-year-old Randolph Garbutt, pleaded guilty to a charge of robbery but will stand trial in other charges in February. He is currently incarcerated at the North Dakota State Penitentiary.
