Police followed the vehicle before abandoning the pursuit for safety reasons.

Man arrested in multi-state crime spree waives extradition to Iowa

Tuesday morning one of ten people who lead multiple authorities on high-speed chases in Nebraska, Iowa and Missouri, appeared in Douglas County court.

Antonio Massey Junior, 18, had his arm in a cast and is wanted in Fremont County, Iowa for theft and using a vehicle to commit a crime. He waived his extradition back to Iowa and will be transported across state lines by the sheriff’s department.

The first chase happened Sunday morning when the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office in Iowa received a report of speeding cars on Interstate 29. Deputy Andrew Wake responded and came across three sports cars stopped near the interstate exit to Thurman.

“I had an orange Dodge Charger go northbound on the interstate and a blue Dodge Charger go southbound. They both took off at high speeds,” wake said.

Wake took pursuit of the blue charger. During the chase, speeds topped nearly 130 miles per hour.
