Man who went on crime spree sentenced to five years in jail

Pinellas Kids’ Crime Spree Ends In Spring Hill: Deputies

SPRING HILL, FL — A meetup between several Pinellas County kids at a park in St. Petersburg on Sunday allegedly kicked off a crime spree that included about 30 auto burglaries and the theft of a car. While Pinellas County deputies flattened three of the tires on the stolen car back in Palm Harbor, Hernando County deputies are credited with making the arrests after the kids reportedly traveled into Spring Hill.

According to the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office, New Port Richey Police officers notified deputies of a stolen vehicle pursuit that was entering Hernando on Commercial Way on July 30. Officers were pursuing a 2017 Chevrolet Cruz that had been reported stolen in Pinellas County, an email from the Hernando sheriff’s office said.

More Than 40 Guns Stolen From Vehicles, Police Say – Cartersville …

COBB COUNTY, GA — Two people have been arrested in connection to a sweeping string of entering autos that touched down across north metro Atlanta, including Cartersville and Bartow County.

Lawrenceville residents Elisha Ross, 25, and Ayana Forest, 22, were arrested Thursday, July 27 by the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office’s Fugitive Unit and the U.S. Marshals Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Cobb police said Monday.

Last week’s arrest follows a months-long investigation that began in February when three Cobb fire stations, four Smyrna fire stations and GLOCK, Inc. were all the scenes of overnight thefts from autos.

Detectives from Cobb and Smyrna police departments joined forces with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and were able to identify two suspects, Ross and Forest. They were also able to determine that the pair had connections to numerous entering auto and were the primary suspects in those incidents. Evidence unearthed throughout the investigation

Brockton crime spree leaves bloody mess in restaurant, vehicles damaged

Easton resident Shawn Peete, 26, was charged early Sunday morning with stealing a pickup truck and crashing it into numerous other cars.

BROCKTON — Police arrested an Easton man early Sunday morning who allegedly broke into a local restaurant and left a bloody trail in his wake, before stealing a U-Haul pickup truck and crashing it into several other cars on the north side of the city.

Shawn Peete, 26, of Turnpike Street in Easton, was arrested around 2 a.m. on Sunday after a reported crime spree caused damage to multiple vehicles and to the interior and front of Tin Rays Restaurant.

Police were first called for a reported break-in at the Winter Street restaurant, said Lt. William Hallisey.

One man crime spree

A homeless man accused of going on a stealing spree in areas including Geelong the and Surf Coast is due back in court today.

The 40-year-old is alleged to have stolen a taxi, as well as perfume and other items, during a one-man crime wave across Newcomb, Apollo Bay and Bendigo between March and early July.

He is facing charges including theft of car, theft from motor vehicle, evade police and reckless conduct endangering life.

The man has been in custody since his arrest earlier this month.
