Suspects in Euless slaying also accused of crime spree afterward

EULESS — Two people who are suspects in the slaying of a Euless man last week are also accused of going on a crime spree hours after the killing, police said Tuesday.

Police identified the suspects as Jay Aaron Balch, 23, of Hurst and Christian Angel Escobedo, 26, of Grand Prairie.

They are accused of killing Tsvetomir Neshkov, 27, at his Euless home in the 700 block of Henslee Drive at about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.

“The three were together and there was an altercation — I wouldn’t call it a fight,” police Sgt. Scott Peterson said Tuesday in a telephone interview.

“They knew each other,” Peterson said, though he declined to say how.

Neshkov was taken

Prosecutor: Sex offender charged with South End crime spree

A convicted rapist allegedly broke into apartments, stole property and videotaped women in the nude in a terrifying South End crime spree last year, a prosecutor said today.

“This was a patterning of conduct targeting women and apartments occupied by woman and bracketing them as potential victims,” said Assistant District Attorney Ian Polumbaum, chief of DA Conley’s Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Unit. “He went to the alley behind a basement, ground-floor apartment and videotaped one of the women who lived there unclothed without her knowledge and without consent.”

Ronald Brown, 53, stood behind a door and out of sight of cameras in the 7th floor Suffolk Superior courtroom as a clerk magistrate rattled off the 19 new indictments returned by a grand jury against him.

Brown spoke only to indicate he could hear what was happening in the courtroom, and to shout out “not guilty” 19 times after being asked

Similar Knifepoint Robbery on Long Island Could Be Linked to …

A man wielding a large knife held up a Long Island 7-Eleven and demanded cash, police say, and authorities say they are working to determine if there is a link to more than a dozen other recent robberies in the area.

A worker finishing up his shift at the store in Shirley said a man walked in Tuesday morning armed with the knife the length of his elbow to his hand.

The suspect had no mask on, but he demanded cash from the register and the worker complied, police said.

The thief then took off on a motorcycle, according to officials.

It was not immediately clear how much the suspect got away with, but the worker said it was handfuls of cash.

Police said they believe it is the same man behind at least 16 other knife-point robberies on Long Island.

3 arrested after crime spree, hourslong standoff in North Hills, LAPD … – KABC

Three suspects were arrested early Tuesday morning after an armed home-invasion that was followed by a carjacking, an hourslong search and a standoff at a North Hills apartment complex, authorities said.

The suspects were initially wanted for a home invasion that occurred Monday evening, in which they were reportedly armed with shotguns.

They stole a truck from a home on Roscoe Boulevard then abandoned it near Cleveland High School in Reseda. Los Angeles Police Department officers scoured the campus, but the suspects got away and about 8:45 p.m. carjacked a Chevy Yukon near Keswick Street and Yolanda Avenue and fled.

The vehicle was found a short time later in North Hills near Chase Street and Orion Avenue and police in tactical gear scoured the neighborhood for the suspects, considered armed and dangerous.

A SWAT team was dispatched to an apartment complex near the intersection. Residents of the building were evacuated during the standoff, which

Dozens of Minors Raid BART Train in Oakland, Snatch Cell Phones From Riders During Crime Spree

A routine ride on BART over the weekend turned into utter chaos when roughly 40 to 60 juveniles stormed a train and committed multiple robberies, according to the transit agency.

The crime spree occurred Saturday night when the unarmed youngsters hopped fare gates at the Coliseum Station and jumped onto a train bound for Dublin, according to BART and witness accounts. Within seconds, the juveniles grabbed purses, snatched cellphones and left at least two victims with face and head injuries, according to BART.

The minors managed to escape moments after raiding passengers on the train and station platform, BART officials said.

A total of seven robberies were reported, officials said. One purse and a duffel bag were seized along with five phones. All but one of the robberies happened on the train.

“To have it happen all at once, obviously it was a coordinated (incident). They knew
